TMQ9
Celebrating Generations of Queer Joy in Alabama
For Year 9 of The March Quilts project (TMQ), Bib & Tucker facilitators are partnered with The Invisible Histories Project (IHP) and Magic City Acceptance Center (MCAC) to explore Generations of Queer Joy in Alabama. Participation in Year 9 was limited to individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ community so that TMQ9 can authentically support these voices and stories. Our year 9 partners guided all aspects of the project; the resulting story quilt expresses some of the diversity in voices and experiences within Alabama’s LGBTQ community. We aimed to facilitate spaces where participants—across generations and backgrounds—can shout their joy!
